Some easy ways of picking up Purposeful Chinese greetings

In an earlier blog we had just seen   ( Learning Mandarin ) how being an early bird is going to benefit enormously.

Leave aside all of nitty and gritty of learning The Mandarin Language the proper way . Assume you are suddenly thrown in a crowd of Chinese persons.  One can very well understand the predicament one faces in such a situation,   not to speak of embarrassing moments you may have to endure.

Well to make things more comfortable and cast some favourable impressions on your Chinese audience/  circle you may try to learn  some very basic greetings and introductions.

Given below are some expressions in Chinese . You  may kindly memorise them but it does not mean that you can speak Chinese . Therefore all the expressions given here under ( you can listen a native audios. The steps are given under,

Before proceeding further please remember the following. Chinese is a tonal language . There are 4 tones and a neutral tone.

1st tone is marked   by a straight line over the vowel   –

2nd tone is marked by a raising line towards the right ( above the vowel )

3rd tone is marked by a “ v “  over the vowel   “             “            “           “

4th tone is marked by  downward stroke over the vowel in the syllable

The neutral tone does not carry any mark on the vowel in the syllable.
